I finished the sequel to Birdsongs two nights ago—man that feels good!  I think it has been decided the new book will be titled Pushed. When I sat down, knowing it would be my last sit down for Pushed, I had no idea how I wanted it to end. I was certain that the story would take over once I started writing and end itself, and the story did. It is perfect. The ending is awesome. I am super thrilled and can’t wait for everybody to read the book.

I am going to go over the manuscript twice and then send it to my wonderful editor. I am going to shoot for a September 1st release—sooner if possible. I can’t wait to see the cover art Josh from Merriam Creative comes up with for this one. But, I have learned you can’t rush this part. Nothing will sink a book faster than poor editing. I’m not a patient man, but I’m learning and it will be worth the wait.

While I edit and wait, I am going to work on a third Benny James mystery. The Painter gets pushed aside once again. I swear it’s next.

Hey Jason, it's great to hear that the sequel to Birdsongs is complete - although I am slightly envious, because I have a long slog ahead of me to get the sequel to Slippery Souls finished, pah! :-)

Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm about half way through Birdsongs and I'm really enjoying it (and it gets bonus points because the character Rachael has the second 'a' in her name ;-) ). Let me know when Pushed is available to read because I'll be downloading it!

Oh and I have a couple of blogs running (actually I have four in total - I know, I'm greedy - or stupid - one of the two, I can't quite decide)...and I wondered if you'd like to feature on one of them? An interview or a guest post perhaps? Just drop me a line if you're interested :-)

Best wishes
Rachael
